We’re lucky enough to meet a lot of wonderful stockists who are not only UK based, but based internationally too. Recently, Matthew visited Estonia to meet one of our favourite stockists – Oma Asi. Run by husband and wife duo Freddie and Kirkke, there are two stores under the Oma Asi name, both of which are quirky, interesting and exciting design based stores.

The first of the Oma Asi stores, ‘The Little Red House’ is situated in Saiakang (meaning “White Bread”), which is one of the oldest & most picturesque streets in Tallinn. The Oma Asi team moved in in 2010, and have stocked Matthew Calvin jewellery there for the last two years, recently adding to the collection with MC greetings cards and prints, too.
Their second store in Viru is also a treasure trove of excited design based products, and although visually looks very different from the outside, houses a similar and wonderful collection of designers as the Saiakang store.

Freddie & Kirkke’s mission is to provide original, authentic products which bring a smile to your face. Many of the brands that they choose to stock are talented, local designers and artists, and they pride themselves on their unique and broad selection of products, representing over 80 designers.
Funnily enough, when we hosted our Old Street pop-up back in November, we met a lovely lady in-store who visited because she had seen our products in a “great shop in Estonia” – what a small world!
This week, we caught up with the Kirkke and asked her all of the questions that you could possibly want to know about Oma Asi!
