We love a good spot of retail therapy, and visiting the shops which stock Matthew Calvin jewellery is always an added perk of the job. If we’re visiting, even if it’s just to check in with one of the lovely shop owners, we usually end up leaving with a purchase or two. This December we’ve picked five of our favourite London stores for you to visit on your gift buying sprees. Happy shopping, everyone!
Nook was one of our first stockists and has seen Matthew Calvin’s growth as a brand for nearly 5 years now. Gemma and Jack, the stores creators, hand pick each and every item which is sold and with their careful nurturing the shop is a paradise for any shopper who happens upon it on a jaunt in Stoke Newington. Light and airy with a Scandinavian edge and a little added jungle, you’ll be sure to find the perfect gift for that special someone as soon as you walk in the door.

NOR Gifts is a beautiful little shop nestled on a crossroads near West Norwood station. Hard to miss if you’re driving past, NOR has a Tardis like feel when you step through the door; it really does seem much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside, and every inch is crammed with homeware, jewellery (of course), stationary and more.

Rachel, the wonder-woman behind The Wearer has a true gift when it comes to choosing jewellery brands for her shop. The Wearer hides in plain sight in the mysterious warren of streets that make up Islington and is a magpie’s dream; everything in there catches the eye. Whether you need the perfect stocking filler or you’re looking for a gift for yourself (we’re all guilty of a little self gifting at Christmas here at Matthew Calvin) you’ve come to the right place. To find out more about The Wearer, see our recent interview with Rachel.

A true Aladdin’s cave of delights, Rigby & Mac stores are stuffed to the brim with… well, anything you could ever dream of. We’ve visited a few times and each time we find at least one (and usually more) must-have gift. There’s always an air of comfort and welcoming in each of their shops (that’s right, there’s more than one – check out the Rigby & Mac for more) and hey, nobody will blame you if you buy double of everything so that you can keep one for yourself!

One of our favourite stores in London, Triangle Store is a design-led store, filled with unique, minimalist products. The Triangle team select products via a basic framework; is it simple, useful or beautiful? This method has led to an intriguing selection of products – if you love design and Scandi-inspired gifts, Triangle really is the place for you!
