The first collection out of the studio, these beautiful, hand-carved, hand-textured pieces use different hammering techniques to shape the wire, and to bring an eye-catching shine to the mix of metals in this collection of jewellery.

Inspired by his training in pattern-cutting, Matthew applied his experience in design through the principle of ‘working backwards’. Using the ‘lost wax’ casting method – where pendants and rings started with wax and carved by hand, forming a prototype cast into silver to make a negative mould – allows for new textures.

The result is a range of solid, weighty pieces which are hand-finished rather than machine-finished. This gives them a unique, crafted feel. Meteorite pendants and double ring designs lead the collection, displaying the designer’s signature contrast of heavily-textured metals and high polishes.
