The strand bangle is a statement piece designed to complement the delicate strand ring. Made from two high polished round Sterling Silver bands, they come apart on the wrist, side-by-side, slightly overlapping then join together again; giving the look of stacking bangles, but fused into one for strength and solidness.
All of the studio jewellery is designed to be mixed and matched, layered and experimented with. This is one piece in particular that we think would look great layered up, either with other Strand Bangles, or with other stackable bangles (such as the Point Bangle, pictured).
Using geometric patterns and mechanical shapes, designer Matthew Calvin created the Machinist collection a range of jewellery that is as interesting as it is unique; solid, yet delicate and detailed.
The designs echo the forms and lines of construction, architectural design and engines drawing inspiration from details found within these places, and turning them into beautiful, minimalist handmade jewellery.
These are versatile pieces for a variety of occasions, in keeping with Matthew signature modern, feminine style.
