That's a wrap on 2022
2022 has drawn to a close, and though we can’t quite believe it, 2023 is here. We achieved a lot in 2022, including a collection launch, a refresh of our gift boxes, multiple photoshoots (including one of the Matthew Calvin team, which took some convincing…), many bespoke jobs and even a team wedding! 2022 was a year with both ups and downs, but we’re back, ready and excited for what’s to come this year.
The Origins collection launched
The Spring saw the launch of our now bestselling Origins collection, and it seems you have loved it as much as we do. Preparation for the launch started early on in the year, with a team trip to Portugal for our photoshoot where we got some of our favourite shots to date. We were also busy behind the scenes working on our partnership with Just One Tree, a great non-profit organisation that funds reforestation organisations around the globe, focussing on areas severely affected by mass deforestation. So far with your help we have planted over 130 trees with Just One Tree, and we can’t wait to continue our partnership in 2023. 2022 also saw the launch of our brand new gift boxes, which we’d been perfecting for a long time.

As always, we adore seeing Matthew Calvin jewellery worn out in the wild, and we’ve seen some wonderful women wearing it in 2022!
2021 Mercury Prize nominee and Radio 3 broadcaster Hannah Peel has been spotted wearing many a Matthew Calvin design - her current jewellery collection features the Union Dual Necklace, Antigua Necklace, Large Basic Hoops, Union Drop Earrings, Meteor Ring, and multiple pieces from the Origins collection.
We’ve also spotted the incredible activist Gina Martin & her sister, comedian & podcast host of ‘Nobody Panic’ Stevie Martin both wearing Matthew Calvin jewellery. It seems the Martin’s love the Meteor Ring too!
Sustainability consultant and podcast host Bianca Foley is also often adorned with Matthew Calvin - the Antigua Necklace, Double Meteorite Ring Necklace, Doru Band Ring and the Large Basic Hoops can often be spotted popping up on her Instagram posts, or on her segment in the Gadget Show.
